Nick Rzyska-Filipek grew up in Colorado catching various species with the help of his dad before graduating to fly fishing. While attending college his extreme passion of fly fishing for tout bloomed into what one would call a “reel” obsession. During his fishing adventures, he bumped into a number of competitors who eventually convinced him to give competitive angling a try. When Fly Fishing Team USA rolled out their new competition format in 2021 it was the perfect excuse to travel the country and test his angling skills against new and unknown trout. Nick currently resides on the Western Slope of Colorado.
